With 49 platinum hits, Taylor Swift is one of the dominating artists on the American music scene. Her upcoming album, Tortured Poets Department, may add to her increasing platinum list. Announced during her reward pick-up at the Grammy’s, the Tortured Poets’ Department will be her eleventh studio album, and many are excited for her new album release. Although many fans anticipated the release of Reputation, Taylor’s Version, she shocked with a brand new collection of songs, the first of which she is releasing since Midnights. The majority of the album was recorded during 2022. Her new album will be released on April 19th, perhaps with teasers along the way.
Ariana Grande, a famed singer with an impressive vocal range, will be releasing her seventh Extended Play, and fifth album, Eternal Sunshine, on March 8th. It has been just a few short weeks after her newest single, ‘Yes, and?’, which received mixed reviews. However, she has confirmed that no more singles will be released before her EP, leaving many fans itching to hear her music. She unveiled the new release a few weeks ago, on January 12, 2024.
A break from the normal reigning artist, Twice has made a name for themselves despite being a K-Pop group, with albums breaking into the Billboard Top 200 Albums. They have amassed many U.S. fans throughout their career, and this year, they surprised them with a U.S. exclusive, called ‘I GOT YOU,’ stylized in all caps. The single was released on February 2nd this year and has already achieved more than nine million streams on Spotify. Other versions were released shortly after on February 6th.
American legend Jennifer Lopez has had a long career of successful hits and albums- with a new one coming along. ‘This is me…now,’ is scheduled for release on February 16, 2024, with most of its songs recorded between 2022 and 2023. It will be the 9th studio album and her first release under Nuyorican Productions and BMG Rights Management. The teasers were released in 2023, but the album itself will be uploaded this year.
One of the most famous female rappers, Megan Thee Stallion, announced her new singles on “Good Morning America,” sharing that this is the first time she has been able to drop an album in time for summer. A pre-release has been uploaded, with ‘Hiss’ being released in January. She also teamed up with Renee Rapp to record a single for the New ‘Mean Girls’ movie, titled “Not My Fault.”
Superstar Usher, who performed at the halftime show during the Superbowl this year, has released his ninth studio album, Coming Home. It was released on February 9th, only a few days before his Superbowl performance. The single ‘Good Good,’ featured on the album, has already reached 45th place on the Billboard Hot 100, with more than 37 million Spotify streams. A collaboration with BTS member Jungkook is also featured.
The queen of pop, Beyonce, is releasing her new album ‘Act II’ confirming the news on her Instagram reels. Arriving March 29th, the country album was announced during the Grammy Awards in 2023. Her previous releases, “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” and “16 CARRIAGES” have reached first in the Top 10 Countries Hits and continue to be a huge success. Beyonce reminds the fans that there will be ‘Act III’ that connects with her Renaissance album.
