New Flying Dinosaur Skeleton Discovered

Some people may have seen the recent breaking news about a new winged dinosaur skeleton, which was found on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Paleontologists found this massive discovery in late 2023. The dinosaur appears to be a pterosaur, a Ceoptera Evansae to be exact, which lived on Earth over 166 million years ago. There is a lot of talk going around about the uncovering of this rare dinosaur.

Paul Barret, a merit researcher at the Natural History Museum, has a response to the discovery of the very intriguing and unique reptile. “Ceoptera helps to narrow down the timing of several major events in the evolution of flying reptiles. Also, its appearance in the Middle Jurassic of the UK was a complete surprise, as most of its close relatives are from China.” “It shows that the advanced group of flying reptiles to which it belongs appeared earlier than we thought and quickly gained an almost worldwide distribution.”

Another very educated science professional, Dr. Liz Martin-Silverstone, has a rejoinder in this discovery of this flying reptile, “The time period that Ceoptera is from is one of the most important periods of pterosaur evolution, and is also one in which we have some of the fewest specimens, indicating its significance,” Martin-Silverstone said in the press release. “To find that there were more bones embedded within the rock, some of which were integral in identifying what kind of pterosaur Ceoptera is, made this an even better find than initially thought. It brings us one step closer to understanding where and when the more advanced pterosaurs evolved.”

These two very instructed and professional scientists, a fossilist and a merit researcher, show that the finding of this animal would change the world and what humans like paleontologists and paleobiologists research and get educated about. This real life changing discovery shocked the Earth. This life-changing news could be a world breaking subject to study for historians and scientists.
